Fungsi paragraph atau essay comparison and contrast adalah untuk mengukur perbandingan atau perbedaan di antara dua objek yang setara contohnya adalah Car and Motorcycle dimana kedua objek tersebut adalah sama-sama jenis kendaraan bermotor.
Tujuan dari paragraph atau essay comparison and contrast adalah untuk menjelaskan perbedaan-perbedaan antara dua objek, lalu ada dua pilihan tujuan yaitu untuk menyarankan pembaca memilih objek yang paling unggul dalam perbandingan atau hanya untuk memberi informasi kepada pembaca untuk menimbang sendiri mengenai objek yang di bahas.

Car and Motorcycle
Most of the
people in Indonesia like to using an engined vehicles such are car and
motorcycle to going anywhere as their commuter for supporting activity. An engined vehicles has been choosen because
of their working efficiency and it doesn’t need a hard effort to ride or using
it. An engined vehicles are using a liquid gas such solar, premium, pertalite,
pertamax, etc. As their prime energy movement. So many types of an engine
vehicles that most of all are produced by the other country like Japan, China,
Korea, and many more. The big cities highways always fill full tight by the driver
of engine vehicles like car and
motorcycle drivers. Those are multiplying more and more every single day and
oftenly cause a traffic jam. Apparently, both of car and motorcycle have some
differences those are by their capacity,
treatment, and price. < THESIS STATEMENT
BODY PARAGRAPH
1. Capacity
Looking by
the design aspect, both of vehicles cars and motorcycles have a different size
which can be influence the capacity of them. The car relatively have a big
size, for example car with Multi Purpose Vehicle typed which many Indonesian
people owning it are usually have capacity for four to nine people. With the
wide capacity, car is able to engage many people together or to carrying many items
to go anywhere. Unlike car, most
of motorcycles product are designed
smaller and slimmer than a car. And just have a maximum capacity for two
people. Motorcycle also unappropriate to carrying many items because of their
size.
2. Treatment
The vehicles
are always using for everyday, so it will be drop downing the performance,
because of that thing the owner have to do a routine treatment on a certain
time. The treatment for the car usually more complicated than a motorcycle,
because car having a lot of components and the service garage for the cars are
rarely found. In the right hand, the car treatment need an expensive cost
because the different kind of material, and the component parts are complex. In contrast,
the treatment for the motorcycle is simpler than a car, and easy to find a
service garage for motorcycles because many of them are spread at the side of
highways. The owner of motorcycle is can service their own motorcycle because
the component parts are fewer than car and relatively the cost of component
parts are cheap.
3. Price
Between
consider of vehicles, cost is being an important determiner by most of people.
The car relatively have a high price, the price of MPV’s cars are around
Rp.100.000.000 (One hundred million rupiah) or more. It is make a sense just
the people which have a middle to high economical rich can buy this kind of
vehicle. On other hand, the price of
motorcycle are relatively cheaper than a car. It is around Rp.18.000.000.000
(eighteen million rupiah) or more. This is the causes why people are more like to
buy a motorcycle than a car.
CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH
An engined
vehicles are have their own specification, also their advantages and
disadvantages. The differences above are just some comparison and contrast
which appear between car and motorcycle. The conclusion is, if you want to buy
one of those vehicles. Make sure you are selecting the right choice with your interest of daily life or necessary purpose. If you primarily want to fast and
efficient vehicle in running time just select the motorcycle, or if you
primarily want a comfortable and multifunction vehicle just select the car.
Each vehicles are have some different feature. So the choice is on your hand!
